‘Dizziness’ is an English translation of the German word ‘Taumel’, which implies a broader semantic field including notions of physical and emotional disequilibrium, staggering, confusion, uncertainty, and turmoil.

More than ever before, our world appears to us as an animistic world, as a reality in which basically everything – things, plants, machines – can be experienced as animate in some form or another and, accordingly, as alive.

In an era fraught with dizzying socio-political events and burgeoning ecological catastrophes, this workshop for a special issue will delve into the concept of epistemic dizziness as a disordered state of whirling vertigo, applying it to the contemporary state of Science & Technologies Studies.

The Europe we inhabit today developed as a project in resistance to its past fascisms. But are fascisms only found in the past? This day-long workshop and exchange meeting explores resistance against fascisms as a performative, artistic, cultural, digital and educational instrument of realizing (European) community.
