Artistic work is the foundation for knowledge production and the productive engagement with existing forms of knowledge, similar to those previously developed in other established research areas. By building a suitable institutional framework, the University of Applied Arts’ goal is to generate innovative knowledge output in the arts and artistic research field and to promote these results in a national and international science context. Meanwhile, the definition of scientific research is based on the understanding of an unbiased and open knowledge production process – anything is possible.
